Om arrangementet

The University of Agder is currently establishing a core expertise in biomechatronics with the goal of developing enabling technologies for sustainable e-health and care services based on the transparent integration of haptics, virtual reality (VR)/augmented reality (AR), sensor-fusion and safe human-robot collaboration. This innovation process is expected to directly reduce costs, increase the quality of ADL and boost sustainability of this sector. This strategy will drive value creation in the Norwegian health business, allowing patients to remain at home for a longer period of time, resulting in a more sustainable health service.

To highlight the potential of biomechatronics in revolutionizing our lives, a demonstration (live on stage) with a collaborative robot will be given. A cobot or co-robot (from collaborative robot) is a robot intended to physically interact with humans in a shared workspace. Cobots will play an important role in the biomechatronics revolution for sustainable e-health and care services.
